Let God’s love guide you

Scripture:  “You have made known to me the path of life; You will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.” Psalm 16:11 (GNB)

Before you even step out of the front (or back) door, life has been happening. Whether or not you have prepared yourself for what is coming, it is going to happen! So many of us simply step out of the door without any preparation. Sometimes you have to rush, but most of the time you have a few moments before action starts.

You have several choices as your day begins; making a ‘gung-ho’ entrance or choosing to be timid and cautious. There is always the third option in which you choose your attitude before you move forward. In any enterprise it is usually our attitude that will determine our altitude (Zig Ziglar).

In every moment of our lives God is present. We choose whether we include Him or not. The bible says that he is the God “Who was, and is, and is to come”. That means that He knows what the future holds for us. Wisdom suggests that we should consult with God before we move. Why, because he loves us.

When you put God first in your life you are acknowledging that He has your best interests at heart. That’s why He sent Jesus to die for us. His resurrection promises us new life in Christ. God becomes your inspiration and he will lead you as he has promised. God loves you and wants the best for you!

Prayer:  Lord of Hosts, Teach me to see all of life through Your eyes and to be bold as I face each day with joy. Amen.

Reflection:

Are you journalling your thoughts and experiences, even your feelings? Ask questions of the material and of yourself, it is the best way to learn. For example:

Are you taking the time to deliberate about your choices? How do you feel about your attitude lately?

Do you have any feedback or suggestions you would like to share with us?
