It began when I read the quote by the Kendrick brothers taken from the movie ‘Courageous’ and used in ‘The resolution for Men’ series of devotional cards –
“Men are happiest and at their best when they are responsible – and at their worst when they are not.”
I was struck by the profound depth and simplicity of this statement.
It was then that I decided to write a series of devotionals in which I referenced the bible, used stories from the everyday lives of men, and women; quoted known and unknown persons and delved deep into my life experiences.
In the introduction to the series I wrote this:
“If at this point you decide that this series is only for ‘Christian’ men then you have missed the point. We both want the truth; I see it in Jesus, you see it in reason and logic. Come with me and let us enjoy this journey, each of us from our respective perspectives and learn from each other.”
Even though we publish a weekly devotional under the banner of The Alignment Series it includes the subjects of Responsibility, Identity, Character, Integrity, and what follows on from these. These subjects will not necessarily appear in that sequence. As we are led we will include in each week a devotional that is pertinent to that week. A devotional that will guide you in the personal alignment of your life.
The introduction to the Alignment Series is free. What happens is that when you request the free devotionals we will send you;
The first week; Introduction to the Alignment Series and a brief guide to Journalling.
The second week; Alignment – the basis.
The third week; Why Responsible Manhood?
The fourth week; What about Character?
If you then wish to continue receiving the devotionals that will require a subscription which is also free. To continue as a subscriber please send us a Contact Form in which you include the message: “Please update my status to – Subscriber. Please continue sending me the Devotionals.”
As a Subscriber we will continue sending you the devotionals until you tell us to stop. Being a Subscriber also means that we will keep your email address on our database and will notify you of any Biblical Manhood events or courses (see the Outreach page) that we may be offering in the near future.
